This project reimagines traditional Hausa architecture through a modern lens, designed for a client's country home in Katsina, Northern Nigeria. Rooted in cultural heritage, the design centres around a spacious internal courtyard, a hallmark of Arewa spatial planning, while integrating contemporary comforts and materials.

The architectural layout was carefully zoned to support the dynamics of a large extended, multi-generational family, fostering both privacy and communal living. Our studio led both the architectural planning and interior design, creating a cohesive vision that honours tradition while embracing modernity.
